A real cutie in soft chocolate brown wool with a black stitched nose and black eyes. He is fully jointed. On his paws he has airbrushed toes and around his neck he sports a red collar. Alpaca is one of the most valuable raw textiles in existence. Alpacas live in herds in the bitterly cold S.American Andes, protected by their fine long-haired coats. Indios carefully shear alpacas every 2 years. This rare wool is processed into an outstanding woven fur by the tradition-rich German operation Schulte. (18cm)

The Teddy Clown was first made of brown tipped mohair in 1926 and produced again as a replica for the Steiff Club in 1993. This once famous bear is now available in a somewhat larger size. He is, of course, modelled on the original in every detail, with a ruff and a pointed clown’s hat with yellow pompoms.
